CARY, N.C. (WTVD) -- Jalen Robinson was heading to work Tuesday morning when his plans took an unexpected turn -- he discovered his car had been broken into at his apartment complex in Cary.
"I can't drive around with no window... We'll see how it goes out with my insurance," Robinson said.
According to Cary Police Department, five vehicles were broken into on the 3900 block of Ansley Stream Lane early Tuesday morning. Entire glass windows were knocked out and on the ground.

This set off a string of events that ended in three crime scenes, a chase, and two car crashes.
Officers spotted two Kias and individuals matching the descriptions of car break-in suspects around 3 a.m. Both drivers refused to stop for authorities, initiating a chase that led into Apex.
One of the Kias crashed into a Honda SUV near the intersection of Salem Street and Apex Peakway. Two juveniles were arrested at the scene, officers said. One sustained minor injuries and was transported to a hospital. The driver of the SUV was uninjured.

The second Kia returned to Cary on US 1 before exiting onto Walnut Street. The driver lost control and crashed in the Crossroads Shopping Center near the Olive Garden restaurant. A third juvenile was taken into custody there. No injuries were reported in this crash.
Both cars were later confirmed to be stolen.
CPD have filed petitions against all three, who are all under age 17, in connection to these vehicle break-ins and thefts. Their identities will not be released.
Robinson was frustrated once he found out the age of the people police say were responsible for the break-ins.
"We pay for stuff just like, everybody, like your mother and stuff. So, that's hard work out here. So I know it's tough, but don't break into people's cars. I don't have anything myself," he said.
Charges include felony possession of a stolen vehicle, felony fleeing to elude, felony breaking and entering. Investigators said they are also working to determine if the three suspects are connected to other break-ins in Cary.
