Car crash in Cary injures 3, closes road temporarily: police

CARY, N.C. (WTVD) -- A car crash Sunday morning left three people injured and a road to close.

It happened around 3:20 a.m. on Trinity Road near the intersection of Cooper Drive.

According to police, the driver of a black Honda Accord lost control and crashed into trees. There were three people, including the driver, inside the car at the time of crash. All three got trapped inside the vehicle.

First responders extricated all from the car and taken to a hospital with serious injuries, including one with life-threatening injuries.

Contributing factors are not determined at this time. The names of the crash victims are being withheld by authorities at this point in the investigation.

Trinity Road is now reopened to normal traffic.
