Gradual warmup the rest of the week after bitter cold temperatures

RALEIGH, N.C. (WTVD) -- There is a warmup coming after a cold start to Tuesday.

Temperatures will trend upward throughout much of the week.

Looking Ahead

Sunshine on Tuesday and clouds will return on Wednesday as a disturbance tracks north of the region.

• Tuesday's high will top out near 50

• Wednesday's high will be in the upper 50s

• Thursday's high could hit the 60s
