Durham police investigate double stabbing near Urban Ministries; suspect in custody

DURHAM, N.C. (WTVD) -- Durham police are investigating a double stabbing that happened Wednesday afternoon.

It happened around 2:06 p.m. near Urban Ministries in the 400 block of Liberty Street.

Officers found two men who had been stabbed. One of them sustained life-threatening injuries and taken to a hospital, while the other had non-life-threatening injuries and was treated at the scene.

The suspect was taken into custody, according to authorities.

This remains an active and ongoing investigation.
