HILLSBOROUGH, N.C. (WTVD) -- Hillsborough's boil water advisory has been lifted, the town announced Monday morning.

Town officials say testing of water samples found no contaminants in the system.

Customers may resume normal water use and do not need to take any action, such as running water, changing filters, or dumping ice.

If anyone is unsure whether they are in the affected area, they can contact the Water Treatment Plant at 919-732-3621.

The advisory was first issued early Saturday morning after the water system's central pressure zone experienced low pressure due to a major water main break.
