RALEIGH, N.C. (WTVD) -- Summer is approaching fast, and Raleigh Parks and Recreation are getting ready by ramping up their search for part time seasonal workers.
The department is hosting a job fair from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, March 19, at John Chavis Memorial Park on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.
Applicants must be at least 16 years old, and the city is looking to fill a variety of roles across its parks and recreation facilities. Anyone who submits an employment form during the event will be entered to win a special prize, giving job seekers an extra incentive to stop by.
City officials say the warm weather makes this an ideal time for teens, college students and anyone seeking flexible work to get involved and help support Raleigh's busy parks system.
