

The Stanley Cup is headed to Raleigh, as the Carolina Hurricanes defeated the Vegas Golden Knights 3-0 in Game 6 to win the Cup Final 4-2.

Hurricanes win 4-2
There was pressure on both teams in Game 6; the Golden Knights needed a win to force a Game 7, while the Hurricanes wanted a W to avoid making Game 7 a necessity. And while the teams traded scoring chances early, it was Taylor Hall who hit the scoresheet first with a shot that squeezed by Vegas goaltender Carter Hart at 3:47 of the first period. Both Hart and Brandon Bussi showed off with some impressive saves from then on, but the Canes notched another off the stick of Jackson Blake, whose second-period rocket deflected off of Mitch Marner and past Hart for a 2-0 Canes lead.
From there, it was "Hurricanes hockey," limiting scoring chances and even shots on goal for Vegas. And once Nikolaj Ehlers scored into an empty net, the celebration was on for the Cup champion Canes. Full recap
