CHAPEL HILL, N.C. (WTVD) -- Hundreds gathered in Chapel Hill on Saturday to show support for protesters in Baltimore.
An estimated crowd of 200 marched down Franklin Street to the old post office. Unlike what has played out in Baltimore, Saturday's protests in Chapel Hill remained peaceful.
Marchers hope this movement will spur action.
"Black lives matter and we are done saying it and hope that people respond appropriately to it," said student organizer Ishmael Bishop. "We are now saying it and always been saying it to ourselves that we matter."
Saturday's march in solidarity follows a similar one that happened on Friday night in Durham.
