16-year-old charged in Raeford murder

RAEFORD, NC (WTVD) -- Hoke County Sheriff Hubert Peterkin says a 16-year-old has been arrested in the April 2 slaying of 19-year-old A'Shadontae Baker.



Baker was shot in the head during a home robbery on Lasso Lane near Raeford.



Sheriff Peterkin said investigators tracked 16-year-old Jordache Nebeh'yis Baldwin-Leach to Rochester, New York where he was taken into custody.



He's charged with first-degree murder, first-degree burglary, and robbery with a dangerous weapon.



The investigation continues and Peterkin said more arrests are expected. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Hoke County Sheriff's Office at (910) 875-5111.
