Roy Williams blasts analyst Doug Gottlieb after pregame comments
CHAPEL HILL (WTVD) -- UNC Coach Roy Williams had some choice words for college basketball analyst Doug Gottlieb after Carolina's big win over Miami Saturday.
During the pregame show, Gottlieb stated that the 65-year-old Williams would retire at the end of the season and assistant coach Hubert Davis would take over the coaching job.
Ol' Roy didn't seem too pleased with those comments. During the press conference after the game, Williams said it was "sinful."
"You have no frickin' idea what you're talking about," said Williams. "The guy who said that couldn't put his damn pants on the right way when he was playing at Oklahoma State."
Gottlieb later said on Twitter that he wasn't "reporting" anything.
As for Williams' comments on Gottlieb's pants on backwards?
Here's the video of what he's talking about. Williams even mimics the crowds "shorts on backwards" chant.
At one point Williams says, "I like Doug," but it's clear the coach doesn't like Gottlieb's comments on his future.
