HOPE MILLS, N.C. (WTVD) -- Two teens have been charged after authorities said they made threats on Instagram involving Gray's Creek High School.

On Tuesday, authorities said a parent saw a video that showed a student making threats to "shoot up" the school. The video also showed threats to particular students.

The parent reported the circumstances to a school employee, who called deputies.

Detectives say the video showed a 15-year-old walking through the hall, and making threats. They say a 14-year-old recorded the video.

Deputies say they did not find evidence that would indicate immediate danger. The students involved in the video told police it was a prank that had gone wrong.

Both juveniles involved in the video have been charged with making a false report concerning a threat of mass violence on educational property.
