Victim in critical condition after shooting in Halifax County

HALIFAX COUNTY, N.C. (WTVD) -- A shooting that sent one person to the hospital is under investigation in Halifax County.

Sheriff's deputies responded to Richardson's Pool Hall in the Ringwood area just after 9 p.m. Saturday.

When they arrived, they found a 38-year-old victim with a gunshot wound to the torso.

The victim was rushed to the hospital and is said to be in critical condition.
