Police: Man shot on Punjab Street in Raleigh

RALEIGH (WTVD) -- Raleigh police are investigating a shooting that happened Thursday evening.

Authorities said it happened just before 5:30 p.m. on Punjab Street, just west of Capital Boulevard.

Chopper 11 HD observed police putting up crime scene tape between two townhouses.

Police said 35-year-old Dontae Lamar Lewis was taken to WakeMed with non-life threatening injuries.

Authorities are still investigating. It appears the shooting was not random.
