Loud noises heard across area as military aircraft fly from RDU

RALEIGH (WTVD) -- RDU International Airport hosted 12 military aircraft overnight and viewers have pointed out loud, rumbling noises across the area.

According to RDU, the Navy brought 12 F/A 18 Super Hornets.

Airport officials said the military does not typically share mission details with them.

Viewers from across the area reported loud noises and rumbling sounds.
