New ACC logo unveiled

GREENSBORO, N.C. (WTVD) -- The new ACC logo was leaked a few weeks ago at the league meetings in Florida.

Thursday, though, was the official unveiling in Greensboro.

The ACC and its design group consulted the member schools, their fans, and alums to arrive at the final product.

As explained in the league's branding documents, the new logo, "strongly expresses the essence of the conference, leaning hard into a brilliant future, yet honoring the path that brought us to this day."

"We really like it. It has motion to it. It has energy to it," said ACC Commissioner John Swofford. "I think it means the future, and the present while respecting the past. It's a combination of those things."
