Fayetteville man charged with statutory rape

FAYETTEVILLE (WTVD) -- A Fayetteville man was charged with statutory rape in an incident that police say occurred Dec. 25, 2015 in the area of Murchison Road and McLamb Drive.

Corey Thompson, 27, was arrested Monday. Police say the victim was 13.

Thompson was taken to the Cumberland County Detention Center under a $1,000,000 bond.
