A man accused of injuring two cyclists in a weekend hit-and-run crash appeared before a judge in Orange County on Thursday.
The family of Frederick Howell is trying to process the loss of the 53-year-old cyclist who was minutes away from home when he was struck and killed by a driver who left the scene.
The latest incident happened when a vehicle hit a bicyclist from behind on Ellis Road.
Upon arrival, officials said they found the bike rider lying in the center turn lane.
