Separate accidents block I-440 in Raleigh

RALEIGH (WTVD) -- Two separate accidents are blocking several lanes of I-440 near Capital Boulevard in Raleigh.

Images from Chopper11 HD showed a blue SUV and a silver sedan with significant damage.

The incident blocked three of the four westbound lanes to traffic, as authorities worked to free someone inside the SUV.

It was unclear the extent of the injuries or if anyone else was injured.

Another accident less than a quarter mile away, involving another vehicle and a motorcycle, blocked two westbound lanes near exit 11.

It did not appear anyone was injured in that crash.
