Truck carrying pipes overturns in Durham

DURHAM, North Carolina (WTVD) -- A truck carrying a load of plastic pipes overturned on the ramp from the Durham Freeway to Highway 15/501 Monday afternoon, spilling the load all over the road.

Police said the truck was coming off Hwy 147 when it rolled over about 2:40 p.m.

Crew work to clean up pipes spilled in a truck accident on the Durham Freeway.

The mess blocked U.S. 15/501 north at Hillsborough Road and a section of the Durham Freeway at the Hillsborough Road exit.

No one was injured in the crash.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.

Crews were working to clear up the pipes and get the truck out of the road. The roads and ramps were fully reopened shortly before 8 p.m.
