Lanes reopen after crash on I-40 westbound at Aviation Parkway

WAKE COUNTY, N.C. (WTVD) -- I-40 westbound lanes at Aviation Parkway have reopened after being closed Friday morning due to a crash.

According to the N.C. Department of Transportation, the accident happened around 10:30 a.m. near the mile marker 285. This is close to Morrisville.

The road was closed for a few hours.

Traffic was diverted to Exit 285 B, and motorists had to cross over Aviation Parkway to re-access I-40 West.
