Driver hits pole, causing many to lose power in Chapel Hill

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. -- A driver crashed into a pole, causing many to lose power in Chapel Hill Friday morning.

It happened just before 3 a.m. on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard between Hillsborough Street and Bolinwood Drive.

Investigators said when the driver hit the pole, it brought down utility lines.

There are no reported injuries.

Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd has reopened. Hillsborough Street is still closed from MLK Jr. to Bolinwood.
