1 killed in Wayne County crash

WAYNE CO., N.C. (WTVD) -- One person died in a car crash in Wayne County on Thursday morning.

North Carolina Highway Patrol responded to the crash, which happened around 4:30 on Parkstown Road near La Grange Road.

That is less than two miles from the Greene County line.

Investigators have not identified the victim in the crash, nor have they released any details about what may have caused the crash.
