The homeowner told police he was confronted by a stranger when he walked inside his home.
The homeowner says he grabbed a gun and during a struggle, a shot was fired.
Police found the alleged robber nearby suffering from a gunshot wound. Authorities say he died on the way to the hospital.
So far no charges have been filed.
