Families are nominated based on their extraordinary contributions to their communities. Five familes were nominated for makeovers and the winning family will find out if they were chosen next week.
"It's an honor to be called by Extreme Makeover to participate in the show," said John Norris, owner of Edenton Builders in a news release. "In just a week, with the help of heroes in the form of community subcontractors, sponsors and volunteers, a special family will have a completely new home, inside and out."
Edenton Builders is reaching out to the community for support, encouraging everyone to get involved in any way they can to help change the selected family's life forever.
"We're counting on community volunteers to provide their time, support and resources to help ensure the success of this life changing project," Norris said.
