Rita Braman turned herself in to Cary Police Tuesday. She is out of jail on a $3,000 bond.
Liptak, who is a 6th grader at Carange Middle School, is still recovering at WakeMed.
Driver charged with hitting student
CARY Cary Police say a 50-year-old Apex woman hit 12-year-old Joseph Liptak while he was boarding his bus Friday morning on Penny Road. She is charged with failing to stop for a school bus.
