Man wanted for church scam arrested

Authorities arrested one of the men wanted in a church scam.On March 21, 20-year-old Travis Twitty was arrested in Charlotte, N.C. He is charged with obtaining property by false pretenses.

On March 8, Moore County Sheriff Lane Carter issued an alert regarding two men who were allegedly scamming churches for money. The men were identified as David Twitty and his son, Travis Twitty.

The men would ask church congregations for money and tell them a family member was killed in a car accident.
