Police canvass neighborhood for answers

The Raleigh Police Department is hitting the streets to find answers about a recent murder.Police went door-to-door in addition to distributing flyers to motorists Thursday.

Officers are targeting the Raleigh neighborhood where 19-year-old Christopher Ryan Davis was found shot to death. His body was discovered in a neighborhood off of Barwell Rd. around 6:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Police hope residents will be able to assist officers with the investigation.

In addition to going to homes, officers also gave out flyers to motorists passing through the area.

Anyone with information that might assist the investigation is asked to call the RPD's Detective Division at (919) 996-3555 or call CrimeStoppers at (919) 226-CRIME to remain anonymous.

There is a reward in the case.
