Police say Rose fired a gun from inside the home, but they think it was done as intimidation.
According to officials, Nash County investigators have multiple warrants for Rose's arrest on charges that include breaking and entering, larceny and probation violation.
Rose spoke with hostage negotiators as authorities surrounded the property and evacuated nearby homes as a safety precaution.
Authorities say no officers fired shots during the standoff and no injuries were reported.
Police say two weeks ago, Rose was also involved in a police chase, but managed to get away.
