One arrested in attacks

RALEIGH A spokesman says after media coverage and two surveillance pictures, police have arrested Billy Coleman Cates in an incident on June 19.

Detective say Cates allegedly reached into a woman's car as she was waiting to use a drive-up ATM on West Millbrook Road. The woman got away by speeding off.

”It scared me. My 17-year-old daughter was with me when it happened, and we both were pretty frightened," the victim - who asked not to be identified - told Eyewitness News.

Now, investigators are turning their attention to two different attacks in the Glenwood Avenue and Pleasant Valley Road area.

On June 16, a man grabbed a woman from behind, forced her to the ground, punched her and walked away.

The third incident happened on June 22. Investigators say a man tried to choke a woman at a car wash on Pleasant Valley Road.

She was able to break free and call police. The suspect walked away from the scene.

Investigators have surveillance video of the second man and are trying to identify him.
