Police investigating toddler drowning

FAYETTEVILLE It happened around 3 p.m. at a home in the 6700 block of Arnish Court.

Authorities said 23-month-old Alex Tumpeco drowned in the family's above-ground pool.

Tumpeco died on Sunday as a result of Saturday's incident. His death has been ruled as accidental.

Police said there will be no charges filed against his mother, Mabel Tumpeco.
