Just Thursday, United States Attorney George E.B. Holding announced new charges against three other men accused of supporting terrorism.
Daniel Boyd, 39, and Hysen Sherifi, 24, are now charged with conspiring to murder United States military personnel.
The indictment alleges Boyd did reconnaissance at the Marine Corps Base located in Quantico, Virginia and obtained maps of the base in order to plan an attack on Quantico.
The men, along with Boyd's 20-year-old son Zakariya, also faces new weapons charges.
"[This] should serve as a reminder that there are those at home and abroad who continue to plot to cause harm to U.S. citizens. The FBI, U.S. Attorney's Office and our law enforcement and intelligence community partners will continue working tirelessly to prevent that from happening," said Owen D. Harris, Special Agent in Charge of the Charlotte Division of the FBI.
The three men with new indictments were arrested along with Subasic, and Boyd's other son Dylan, 22, Mohammad Omar Aly Hassan, 22, a citizen of the U.S. - and Ziyad Yaghi, 21, a naturalized citizen of the U.S., back in July.
An eighth man is also wanted.
