Police try to ID robber

DURHAM It happened at the BP convenience store at 2211 North Roxboro Street.

The first robbery was reported at 10:32 p.m. on Tuesday, September 22. A male wearing a hoodie and a mask entered the business, pointed a long gun at the clerk and demanded money. He also took cash from a customer before fleeing from the store. He was described as a black male, 6 feet to 6 feet 3 inches tall with a large build.

The second robbery was reported at 9:27 p.m. on Sunday, September 27. A male with a T-shirt wrapped around the lower half of his face and carrying a long gun entered the store and demanded money. The suspect was wearing a black T-shirt and an Atlanta Braves ball cap.

The attempted robbery happened around 6 a.m. on September 27 when a male wearing a mask and carrying a handgun tried to enter the store as the clerk was opening it. The door was locked and the male fled without taking anything.

Police have a surveillance photo from one of the robberies.
