Man faces 11 sex charges against minors

CHATHAM COUNTY Lewis Spence, 43, is accused of having sexual contact with two minor females, ages 15 and 16. The Chatham County Sheriff's Office said it began investigating the case last year after receiving information from the Franklin County Sheriff's Office about a sexual assault in Chatham County.

The Chatham County incident was similar to an incident already being investigated in Franklin County. According to investigators, one of the victim's family members reported the crime.

Spence is charged with five counts of indecent liberties with a minor, two counts of indecent exposure, two counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor and peeping.

He is being held under a $150,000 bond.
