Glaxo gets vaccine approval

The FDA has just given RTP based Glaxo SmithKline the approval to sell its vaccine to fight the H1N1 virus.The FDA gave the go ahead Tuesday after an eight week delay.

GSK didn't get approval early on because of challenges in making a vaccine without a certain ingredient.

The US government ordered 7.6 million doses of the vaccine from Glaxo. It will be made at the company's plant in Quebec.

Officials say the vaccine will be available starting next month.
