"They were taking too much money from me so that was my problem," said Dunn
Dunn says once the government had collected all she owed, it kept on taking. She had the paperwork to prove her claim, and called the Social Security Administration several times to try and get her money back. But, she couldn't get the cash. That's when she contacted I-Team Troubleshoot Diane Wilson.
"I wrote them, called them probably anywhere from 4 to 10 times, and I could not get my money back," she told Wilson.
ABC11 Eyewitness News got in touch with the Social Security Administration. It took some time, but Dunn did get more than 350 dollars back - the full amount she was owed.
"I am happy because I honestly know if I hadn't gotten Diane involved I'd be waiting for a year or so," said Dunn.
A Social Security spokesperson said as soon as they realized Dunn was owed money, they promptly refunded her money.
