Sex offender charged with bus stop exposure

Deputies say 46-year old Darrick Freeman of Hope Mills exposed and touched himself as he stood nude at the front door of his home while students waited for their school bus to arrive.

Cumberland County detectives have charged a Hope Mills man with exposing himself to children at a school bus stop.

They say 46-year old Darrick Freeman of 4889 Grays Creek Church Road exposed and touched himself as he stood nude at the front door of his home while students waited for their school bus to arrive.

It allegedly happened between August 1, 2008 and October 31, 2008. Freeman is a registered sex offender.

Witnesses claim that Freeman walks around his home in the nude with the lights on inside and his window curtains open.

Freeman was being held in the Cumberland County Detention Center under a $4,000 bond. He is charged with felony and misdemeanor indecent exposure.
