Coach David Cutcliffe announced the incoming Class of 2011 players Wednesday.
Five are from North Carolina, the latest sign of the inroads Cutcliffe has made since taking over before the 2008 season. The other 15 come from 10 other states, and Cutcliffe calls that "a great tribute to the lure of Duke."
Now the challenge is to be patient at a school that has had to rush young players onto the field perhaps prematurely. Duke (3-9, 1-7 ACC) played six first-year freshmen last year.
Cutcliffe says the emphasis was adding speed on defense and strength on the offensive line. Duke didn't sign any quarterbacks or running backs this year.
