Kai Cheng - a 32-year-old vice-president at the State Employees Credit Union - shot himself while police were conducting an investigation into complaints filed against him by female co-workers.

Officers were at Cheng's home on Parr Vista Court in northwest Raleigh Thursday when they say he got a gun and got into a standoff with them. He shot himself despite being Tased by an officer trying to stop him.

Raleigh police have so far refused to give specifics about the allegations against Cheng. They will only say they're continuing their investigation into both the suicide and the underlying case.
