Turn your trash pink to fight cancer

February 16, 2011 10:41:21 AM PST
The City of Raleigh says it's agreed to pick up the larger size pink trash carts sold by the American Cancer Society.

Five dollars from the purchase of every pink cart goes to support the Society’s breast cancer awareness programs. Raleigh will only pick up the larger 64 and 96-gallon containers that retail for $60 and $70 plus shipping.

Raleigh says the carts can be used for garbage only - not recycling or yard waste.
