High school student facing gun charges

WAYNE COUNTY The weapon was found during a search of the parking lot at Rosewood High School.

Authorities charged 17-year-old Steven Walston with possession of a firearm on educational grounds and possession of drug paraphernalia.

They didn't say if they thought Walston posed a threat to students or staff.

Further details about the incident have not been released.
