The accident happened around 9:00 p.m. on 71st School Road in Cumberland County.
Authorities say Carson Morris, 35, of Fayetteville was the motorcyclist killed in the crash.
Investigators say the driver of the SUV was traveling on 71st School Road and was attempting to make a left turn onto Bunce Road, when it collided with the motorcycle traveling in the opposite direction.
Fayetteville police are investigated the accident.
