The 3rd annual Run For Our Heroes run/walk is set for April 30. There will be a memorial service at 8:30 and the run kicks off at 9:00. The McGruff 100 yard kids dash starts at 10:00. After the awards ceremony, there is a post race social at Napper Tandy's with a raffle and auction benefiting the Raleigh Police Memorial Foundation.
The run is in its third year and over 1000 runner are expected.
Organizers are also collecting non-perishable food items for the Inter-Faith Food Shuttle for local tornado victims.
