Officers responded to a gunshot call at 7:11 p.m. in the area of 1918 Corrina Street. Then they received a call from Highsmith Rainey Hospital at 7:27 p.m. about a gunshot victim in the emergency department.
Police determined the calls were related and began an investigation, which revealed a shooting with one victim. Investigators say Larry Adams, 34, was involved in a dispute with an unknown individual on Corrina Street. Adams was shot multiple times and then taken to the hospital by a relative.
Adams underwent surgery, but his condition is unknown.
The incident remains under investigation.
