Witnesses say multiple shots hit an SUV at the gas station, blowing out the back window, and hitting a woman twice.
Authorities say the woman was rushed to Duke Hospital with serious injuries, but is expected to recover.
Witnesses say other people were also in the car, but police say no one else was shot.
No one has been arrested in the shooting.
