Apartment fire leaves residents without homes

DURHAM Fire officials say it happened around 11:30 p.m. at the Emerald Forest Apartment Complex located off Highway 54.

The building was evacuated while multiple fire crews battled the flames.

No one was hurt, but 6 adults and 4 children living in the complex were forced to find another place to stay.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
