The White House said in a news release Wednesday that Obama will travel on June 13 to the Raleigh-Durham area for the meeting. The release didn't provide specifics on where the council will meet.
General Electric Chairman and CEO Jeffrey Immelt leads the council, which the White House says was created to provide non-partisan advice to the president on how to strengthen the economy and ensure U.S. competitiveness around the world. The council first met Feb. 24 at the White House.
