Fatal crash a reminder about car seats

The story of a 10-month-old baby killed in a rollover crash next to Lake Wheeler Tuesday is a shocking reminder for parents about the importance of using a carseat correctly.

The North Carolina Highway Patrol says 24-year-old Heather Lucas had her child in a seat when she lost control, but the straps weren't on tight enough.

The baby died after being thrown through the sunroof and crushed.

There are many places that will help you set up your carseat and use it properly. A great resource is the website: http://www.buckleupnc.org/
