The Halifax County Sheriff's Office says one murder suspect is in custody in connection with a double murder, and another one remains on the loose.

Aaron Mills, 19, is charged with two counts of murder and is being held without bond.

Investigators say he was involved in the double shooting of 38-year-old Thomas Davis and 26-year-old Jennilee Fosteron Sunday. Davis died at the scene and Foster died Tuesday at the hospital.

The second suspect, 19-year-old Jimmie Mason, is wanted for two counts of murder.

Captain L.J. Burch says Mason is considered armed and dangerous.

"It is a priority for the Sheriff's Office to capture Jimmie Mason before someone else gets hurt," Burch said.

The Captain also issued a warning to the public.

"Any person knowingly giving any assistance in escaping or attempting to escape detection or arrest is guilty of a felony in this state."
