They have an arrest warrant for Megan Trainor, of Floyd Hicks Road in Timberlake, that also charges her with preparing obscene photographs.
Deputies went to the Person County High School math teacher's home Friday morning, but she was not found.
Person County Schools is also investigating Trainor and recently suspended her.
Sources told ABC11 the allegations involve a male student.
Students at the school Friday said they were shocked by the charges.
"She was a real nice teacher. She loved hanging around students because teaching was something that she really liked to do," offered student Kris Cates.
"She was very nice. You would never think she would do that at all," said student Gaby Angeles.
