Former Campbell University student missing in Va.

RICHMOND, Va.

Detectives say Matthew Williams, 23, has gone missing under suspicious circumstances.

Williams had recently moved to Richmond from Four Oaks, N.C. in Johnston County and was a recent Campbell University graduate.

Police say he was last seen Tuesday around 10 p.m. entering his apartment building in Richmond with three unknown black males, and leaving with the same three about an hour later.

About 1 a.m. Wednesday, two of those same men were seen on surveillance cameras trying to break into Williams' apartment without Williams and leaving the apartment building with his television and video game console.

Williams is described as 6 feet tall and weighs about 180 lbs. He has red/auburn hair and is fair-skinned. Richmond Police Spokesperson Dionne Waugh said he suffers from medical issues.

If anyone has any information on Williams' whereabouts, they're asked to call Richmond Crime Stoppers at (804) 780-1000.
